This November, we’re putting our best foot forward for a cause close to our hearts — raising money for SEED Eating Disorder Support Services. Showing our dedication to teamwork, and our unwavering determination, our staff will be taking part in a virtual walk from our HQ in Scunthorpe, UK all the way to Henkel’s global headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany — a whopping distance of 523 miles!
The challenge will run throughout the month of November, with our team clocking up miles wherever and however we can — whether that’s on the treadmill in the official Interlock Adhesives gym, during morning dog walks, or even while hiking through the countryside at the weekend. Every step will bring us closer to our target of £3,500, which will go directly to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders.
“This is more than just a fitness challenge,” said David Blott, Technical Sales Director for Interlock Adhesives. “It’s about coming together as a team to make a meaningful difference. SEED does incredible work providing compassionate, long-term support for people affected by eating disorders, and we’re proud to do our bit to help raise both awareness and funds.”
A Cause That Matters
Eating disorders affect an estimated 1.25 million people in the UK, and charities like SEED play a vital role in offering guidance, education, and emotional support to those impacted. Founded by a family with lived experience, SEED provides essential resources to schools, parents, and healthcare professionals, helping to challenge stigma and promote early intervention.
For Interlock Adhesives, choosing SEED as our charity partner was an easy decision. “We wanted to support a cause that resonates with real people and makes a tangible impact,” explained David “Mental health and wellbeing are central to our values, and SEED’s focus on education and empathy aligns perfectly with what we stand for.”
Walking for Wellness
The virtual walk to Düsseldorf also carries symbolic significance. As part of the Henkel family of brands, our journey reflects the strong connection between its UK team and its global colleagues. “It’s a fun way to celebrate our partnership with Henkel while doing something good for others,” said Gabby, who came up with this fantastic event idea. “Every mile we cover together is a step toward helping someone find the support they need.”
Throughout November, our fantastic team will log their progress online, sharing updates, photos, and motivational milestones on social media to encourage donations and community engagement. Friends, family, and supporters are invited to follow our journey and contribute via the fundraising page!

As the miles add up and the team edges closer to our destination in Düsseldorf, the spirit of solidarity at Interlock Adhesives continues to shine — proving that when people come together with purpose, even the longest journey can make a real difference.
