Interlock Adhesives are proud to announce our first charity partner with an amazing organisation, SEED, and will be supporting them to help them continue the incredible and life changing work that they do.
Seed are an eating disorder support service, with the objective of helping people overcome this illness by focusing on early intervention, prevention and providing support to those suffering or those caring for someone with an eating disorder. This can be a silent killer, with the highest mortality rate of any other mental illness, hence why their work is so crucial.
Their services include:
- Advice line & online resources
- Self-help workshops
- Educational toolkits for schools
- Support groups and therapy sessions
- Email & text message buddy service
- Resource room and drop-in centre.
Seed was founded in 2000 in Hull and was started by an incredible family (Marg Oaten MBE, Dennis Oaten and their daughter Gemma Oaten) who had first-hand experience dealing with the disorder and wanted to create something that could help others like them.
Seed are a charity close to our hearts at Interlock Adhesives, and we are thrilled to be able to support them during these difficult times. With the current restrictions in place due to COVID-19, mental health is at an all-time low and their services are needed more than ever.
Should you require any support in this area, or know someone that would benefit from SEED’s services, we urge you to reach out and / or donate wherever possible.
